Analysis of Research Trends on Retention Intention in Hospital Nurses: Focusing on Research Articles Published from 2012-2022

Abstract

|
To analysis the research trends in the retention intention on Korean hospital nurses. The research was conducted from August 29 to September 9, 2022 and search databases were RISS, KISS, KCI, DBpia, Scholar, NDSL, KM base. Search terms were ¡®Retention Intention¡¯ and ¡®Nurses¡¯ in the Korean language, and total 48 papers were selected. As a result of this study, it was confirmed that the number of studies related to retention intention decreased after the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of classifying the variables used in the study of retention intention to work as nursing management characteristic, there were many studies in areas related to values & management, social & psychological & attitude, and command before the COVID-19 pandemic. And after pandemic in areas related to jobs and organizations confirmed more. Since there are various factors that contribute to staying in the organization at this time of rapid change and increasing demand, activation of various topics such as development and application of nursing intervention for nurse retention intention and research for the presentation of scientific grounds is required.
